Award | CIB World Building Congress 2025

Congratulations to Jianhuan Zeng from CI3 lab team for winning the best paper award at CIB 2025 World Building Congress!

CI³ Lab's Latest Research Recognized at CIB World Building Congress 2025

We are proud to announce that our paper "ConPPMF: Construction Datasets for Privacy-Preserving Mental Fatigue" has been awarded the Best Paper Award on TG81 - Global Construction Data at the prestigious CIB World Building Congress 2025. This recognition highlights our commitment to advancing smart construction collaboration while prioritizing worker wellbeing and data privacy.

Research: Focusing on decentralized collaboration in smart construction, this study introduces a multimodal dataset that integrates physiological data from smartwatches (Heart Rate Variability, HRV) and synchronized visual data (92 worksite videos). Collected from 17 male workers (including those in high-risk roles such as crane operators and truck drivers) across three active construction sites, this dataset addresses two critical industry challenges: data scarcity and privacy concerns.

CIB World Building Congress: As one of the most influential academic conferences in architecture and construction research, the CIB World Building Congress annually attracts top global scholars and industry leaders.

Dr. Xiao Li's Team: This achievement marks another milestone following CI³ Lab's recent international honors, including Best Innovation and Impact Award at iCCPMCE-2024, Best Paper Award at ICCREM 2024, and Gold Medal at the 49th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. With continuous breakthroughs in knowledge collaboration, collaborative scheduling, collaborative robots, and distributed collaboration, the lab demonstrates the University of Hong Kong's leadership in construction technology innovation.
